Guzheng solo instrumental rendition of the classic The Moon Represents My Heart, originally sung by Teresa Teng.
In this version, Annie focused on bringing out the soft, romantic essence of the song while highlighting the unique timbre of the Chinese instrument Guzheng. With the gengle plucks and tremolos, she created a blend of traditional oriental elegance and heartfelt emotion, it takes on the role of the human voice, expressing longing, tenderness, and sincerity through every note, inviting listeners to experience this timeless melody in a fresh and intimate way.

Annie Zhou is a Los Angeles–based Guzheng performer and composer dedicated to sharing and promoting Chinese traditional music in the United States.
She has performed for distinguished audiences at prestigious cultural, governmental, and corporate events, including the Emmy® Award–winning Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration. Her artistry has earned acclaim from diverse communities and recognition from civic leaders such as mayors and council members.
Annie’s original music has been widely licensed by filmmakers, television networks, and radio stations worldwide. Her work was also selected by U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm for her 2023 AANHPI Heritage Month speech. As a composer, Annie has received numerous honors, including the Best Modern Mode Award at the 2nd International Guzheng Music Festival and the Outstanding Work Award at the Dunhuang Awards for Chinese Chamber Music New Works.
